Attention all college-bound students in the Whitehall area!
The Whitehall Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to offer scholarship opportunities to support deserving students from the Whitehall/Coplay and Catasauqua school districts.
This scholarship is also open to continuing education students who reside within the district boundaries. Scholarship funds must be used during the 2025–2026 academic year.

Requirements

To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must reside in one of the following areas: Whitehall Township, Coplay Borough, Catasauqua Borough, or North Catasauqua Borough.
Please fill out the form below to the best of your ability. Be sure to upload all necessary documentation, including references, transcripts, SAT or ACT scores, and a personal essay or cover letter. 2025-2026 Scholarship Recipients

Celina Abboud
During high school, Celina participated in the Emerging Health Professionals (EHP) Program, gaining experience through college-level Anatomy and Physiology coursework, clinical shadowing, and community service at local retirement homes. Celina was also an active member of her school’s SERVE Club, contributing to donation drives and the monthly Hunger Initiative. Through these experiences, she developed a strong commitment to service, leadership, and helping others. She plans to major on the pre-med track and pursue a future career in medicine, where she hopes to continue making a meaningful impact through compassionate, patient-centered care. |

Habib Leyos
Throughout high school, Habib demonstrated a strong commitment to service and leadership, volunteering more than 120 hours as a patient advocate at St. Luke’s University Health Network and providing free virtual tutoring to students around the world. As President of International Awareness for Whitehall High School’s Interact Club, he organized the Whitehall Community Run & Walk, which brought together more than 80 participants and raised over $2,500 for Heifer International. Habib plans to attend the University of Pennsylvania, where he will major in Biochemistry, pursue undergraduate research, continue volunteering in the community, and work toward his goal of becoming a primary care physician. |

Hailey Jenkins
Throughout high school, Hailey has been actively involved in basketball, track and field, Varsity C Club, Student Council, Student Forum, and Team Catty. Hailey has taken on several leadership roles, including team captain for both basketball and track and field, Class Secretary, Student Council President, and Varsity C Vice President. Beyond the classroom and athletics, she has given back to her community by reading to elementary students, helping with community events, and volunteering at local activities. Through these experiences, she has developed strong skills in leadership, responsibility, time management, and communication while serving as a positive role model for younger students. |

TJ Fogel - 2024-2025 Recipient
TJ is halfway through her first semester and already thriving in her college journey! As a student in the Templeton Honors College, she’s pursuing a classical course of study alongside her major in Early Childhood Education — a combination that perfectly reflects her love for learning and passion for shaping young minds. Outside the classroom, TJ is a dedicated member of her cross country team, currently gearing up for conference championships and finding fulfillment through teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. She shared that receiving this scholarship has made an incredible impact, allowing her to focus wholeheartedly on both academics and athletics without worrying about the financial challenges of college life — especially the (many!) books that come with studying the classics. TJ is truly grateful for the support and feels honored to be part of such an uplifting and inspiring community. |
