Matt Powell serves as the Vice President of Government & External Affairs and the Producer for Business Matters. Matt began working for the Chamber in March of 2020.

Before joining the Chamber, he worked as a Senior Legislative Assistant for United States Congressman Tom Marino in Washington D.C. He was responsible for numerous policy areas, including healthcare, education, foreign affairs, and homeland security. His responsibilities included assisting constituents, drafting letters to federal agencies, and drafting legislation.

He holds a Master’s in Health Administration from Moravian College. He graduated from Keystone College in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Sciences and a minor in Political Science.

​Matt enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Dr. Patricia Donovan, and his dog, Finnegan. In his spare time, he likes to golf and spends weekends in the summer working as a groundskeeper at Saucon Valley Country Club.
