General Description This position is directly accountable to the Executive Vice President and the Director of the Diversity Councils team. They will support and assist the African American Business Leaders Council, Hispanic Chamber, LGBTQ Business Council, Women’s Business Council, and Young Professionals Council. Job Duties & Responsibilities
Serves as staff support to the Chamber’s Diversity Councils.
Marketing – create and proof event flyers, press releases, programs and website content.
Social Media management – upkeep of social media including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn pages for all councils. Creation and promotion of Facebook events, scheduling out content, and research for relevant articles.
Board and committee meeting assistance – support and run committee meetings for various councils including meeting preparation, agendas, minutes and other documents.
Event management – plan and execute events for all councils including morning, evening, and weekend events.
Sponsorship relationship management
$5,000 minimum sales expectation (event sponsorships, marketing and advertising products)

Intern management
General office duties
Represents the Chamber to various organizations and during community and professional functions, such as mixers and major Chamber events.
Database administration – ensuring that committee and board listings are accurate and kept up to date; upkeep of member lists; event registrations; upkeep of e-mail contact lists.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree or equivalent work experience
Fluency in Spanish and English is highly preferred

Ability to build, foster and maintain positive professional relationships
Must be detail oriented and have excellent proofing skills
Requires excellent computer skills
