Lehigh County Legacy Small Business Beautification & Improvement Grant

Senator Nick Miller, in partnership with the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, is proud to offer the Small Business Improvement Grant Program to help long-standing small businesses across Lehigh County invest in their future. The program is open to all eligible small businesses in Lehigh County, regardless of Chamber membership, with priority given to long-standing establishments that have made lasting contributions to their communities.

Spearheaded by Senator Miller's office, the program will provide funding for interior and exterior improvements that strengthen local businesses, enhance commercial corridors, attract new customers, and support continued economic growth throughout the county. 

A total of $225,000 will be available through funding secured by Senator Miller, with an additional minor portion of total funding from the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Eligible businesses can apply for grants ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 to support a wide range of improvements, including:
  • Interior and exterior upgrades such as façade improvements, paint, flooring, lighting, and signage
  • Energy efficiency upgrades
  • Renovations that enhance customer experience and business functionality
  • Placemaking efforts that increase foot traffic and reflect the unique identity of the community

First Round for this grant application is open until Friday, August 28, 2026.

How to Apply:

1) Review and complete the application (link below): 
  • Please Note: Your information in the online application will not be saved until you have clicked submit at the end of this form. Refreshing this form at any point will delete any progress you have made.

2) Review the following documents: 
  • Violation of the Prohibition of Illegal Alien Labor Assisted Projects Act
  • Grantee Integrity Provisions
  • Nondiscrimination/Sexual Harassment Provisions.

3) Submit supporting materials:
  • Please e-mail the following files to: [email protected], with the subject line as follows: "Lehigh County Grant - [Your Business Name]".
    • Your most recent tax return filed (2025 or 2024)
    • If the applicant was a startup in 2025 and has not yet filed taxes, a management prepared statement of revenue and expenses as of December 31, 2025
    • Form W-9
    • Copy of official filing with the Department of State or local municipality for your business such as one of the following:
      • Articles of Incorporation
      • Certificate of Organization
      • Fictitious Name Registration
      • Government-Issued Business License
      • Any form of acceptable government-issued photo ID
    • At least three estimates for improvement work from non-affiliated companies or organizations in compliance with the Grantee Integrity Provisions.
    • The grantee shall comply with open and competitive bidding procedures which require obtaining a minimum of three arm's length bids. Arm's length transactions occur when parties to the transaction are not related to one another and each party is acting in its own self-interest.

Subvención Legado del Condado de Lehigh para la Mejora y Embellecimiento de Pequeñas Empresas 

El Senador Nick Miller, en colaboración con la Cámara de Comercio del Gran Valle de Lehigh (Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce), se enorgullece en ofrecer el Subvención Legado del Condado de Lehigh para la Mejora y Embellecimiento de Pequeñas Empresas, con el fin de ayudar a las pequeñas empresas de larga trayectoria en todo el Condado de Lehigh a invertir en su futuro. El programa está abierto a todas las pequeñas empresas elegibles del Condado de Lehigh, sin importar si son miembros de la Cámara, dando prioridad a los establecimientos de larga trayectoria que han hecho contribuciones duraderas a sus comunidades.
 
Impulsado por la oficina del Senador Miller, el programa proporcionará financiamiento para mejoras interiores y exteriores que fortalezcan a las empresas locales, embellezcan los corredores comerciales, atraigan nuevos clientes y apoyen el crecimiento económico continuo en todo el condado.
