Main Street business owners, non-profit organizations and concerned and committed citizens have partnered with the Greater Northern Lehigh Chamber of Commerce to create a committee whose main goal is to develop and implement a plan to improve and create a warm and welcoming Main Street Slatington business district. Since September of 2016 the merchants group has hosted very successful meetings at Charlotte Fay’s Main Street Diner where goals have been established and sub-committees have been formed.
Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month at Charlotte Fay’s Diner from 8:00 – 9:00 am. Several Borough Council members, the mayor of Slatington, representatives from Senator Pat Browne’s office as well as the Lehigh County Government office, chamber staff, the Northern Lehigh recreation authority director, and business owners have all attended these meetings. We are excited to continue and grow our successes in the future and invite you to be part of the revitalization of downtown Slatington. Please join us at our next meeting for more details about the Main Street improvement project and to be involved in the future planning. We welcome input from all Slatington business owners and organizations to help strengthen the economic potential of Main Street Slatington and surrounding neighborhoods. Meetings are open to the public and all are welcome.
