General Description General Description: The Event and Logistics Coordinator will manage the various event responsibilities and logistics associated with the planning, coordination, organizing and execution of all meetings and events. This individual must be self-motivated, have strong interpersonal skills and pay close attention to detail. Must be proactive, highly organized, and have the ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple events, responsibilities and deadlines at one time.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Strategizing and planning events to include (Selecting location, speakers, topics, timing, and vendors)
Calculating budgets and maintaining an event budget.
Initiating, coordinating, and participating in all efforts to publicize an event (creation of fliers, e-mail blasts, television and radio appearances)
Editing and designing promotional materials and assist with the PCC social media initiatives and website maintenance.
Managing correspondence and communication with outside vendors and internal teams.
Preparing and executing a detailed outline of the event needs and day-of timeline.
An ability to be flexible and responsive under pressure.
Evaluating success and reporting regularly on event preparation status and readiness.
Identifies and pursues new revenue opportunities for advertising, marketing and sponsorship.
Collects membership dues and other payments from members as needed.
Assist in general office activities including answering telephones, greeting visitors, researching and disseminating information to callers and visitors.
Registers participants for Chamber events and completes financial input in the database.
Gather marketing materials for distribution, office equipment and supplies for all events.
Assist will all GPCC functions, events and committee meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
2+ years of major event planning experience preferred
Extreme attention to detail. An event is pulled off by the compilation of many, many small details that come together to create a polished, flawless experience. You must be known for your attention to detail that includes comprehensive check-lists, to-do lists, and itineraries.
Strong Communication Skills – this position interacts with a wide variety of people on a daily basis, including executives, donors, vendors, and attendees. Strong people skills, sharp written and verbal communication skills, and solid discernment are a must.

Able to handle multiple important projects at once
