Despite concerns about an upcoming property tax reassessment, Lehigh County Executive Don Cunningham said the county is on solid ground.
Cunningham delivered his state of the county address to the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce on Thursday.
"The state of Lehigh County finances and operation is very sound," said Cunningham, who added that the county has cut its costs by selling property and transferring some services to private company operation.
Cunningham said the county is completing one of the largest capital programs in its history and now is not the right time to raise taxes.
