Healthcare Legislative Committee

Small Business Tax Calculator-Health Care Reform: The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) includes a provision for a small employer tax credit designed to encourage small employers to offer health insurance coverage for the first time or to maintain existing coverage for their employees. Capital BlueCross has developed a tax calculator tool to help our small groups identify their potential tax credit.

The Chamber's Healthcare Committee’s objective is to educate and assist Chamber members to control healthcare costs while maintaining exceptional healthcare quality for employees by making an impact on these factors: personal accountability, transparency, tort reform, consumerism and promotion of free-market policies promoting competition in healthcare.
